About Us

This is Tim Smith, the Coordinator for the Moonshiners Jamboree who became famous around the Community when he was featured on the History Channel special "Rumrunners, Moonshiners & Bootleggers." Since the airing of the movie, Tim has been involved with several different movies, some of which were even filmed during the Jamboree to capture the true spirit of southern festivals.

Tim and his wife Shelby are Dedicated in keeping a Southern Culture alive, together they host the most authentic backwoods folk country celebration ever seen. Having some of the best Bluegrass Bands on the east coast and all the talk about screwing lids on fruit jars, carrying jugs of white liquor.

You don’t want to miss this Festival held the first weekend of August in Climax, Virginia.

 Located just 28 miles North of Danville, Virginia, in Pittsylvania County.

Pittsylvania & Franklin County have always been noted by ABC agents to produce the largest amounts of Moonshine Liquor ever seen on the East Coast. Some of the Still’s found by Special Agents can be seen at the Jamboree.
